broknsilence:

christmas goodies from @eyemusing 😁 homemade #polvoron 😍 (Taken with instagram)

Reblogging this for my public Tumblr! This year, money was short and time was limited. What did I do? I made polvoron for my friends and fam :) I’d say it was super easy to make, but they are so delicate that I had to go through several “do-overs” haha. Which was fine w/me because I got to eat so much too ;)
Glad they made it safely to the east coast! Loves and misses you broknsilence!
PS I’d share the recipe, but then where would I be for next Christmas needing to make gifts for people? But a simple Google search should help anyone out. Or if you are Filipino, ask your mommy!

(via Will Cook For Friends: Drunken Gingerbread Cookies - Good Will Baking, part 1)
For years now I have continued the tradition of holiday baking. I usually bake gingerbread men (from scratch), sugar cookies, make gingerbread houses, and make butter beer (yes, from Harry Potter). This year I was not entirely sure if I would continue on with the traditions - but seeing this blog post makes me want to re-consider.
I am quite the fan of tongue-in-cheek humor, and these Drunken Gingerbread cookies look absolutely delectable! And how cute is this presentation? Now, these aren’t exactly drunken, but they do contain a bit of rum - rum glaze that is. Unf, I want to try this right now!

Absolutely, positively proud of what we’ve done here. This is the new look book for 5&A Dime’s Holiday 2011 collection - and it is HILARIOUS! The photo shoot was just too fun to be a part of. All of our friends had a hand in this: modeling, photography, planning, etc - we have so many people to thank! We also have the Lincoln Room to thank for allowing us to get crazy at their restaurant! Click through to get to the blog and the look book.Disclaimer: This is pretty NSFW but trust no health codes were violated!
